Guy Fieri was born as Guy Ferry. When he married his wife Lori in 1995, he changed his surname to the way his family traditionally spelled the name. It is pronounced ‘FEE-eddy’ as this is the Italian pronunciation.
- His Sister Died of Cancer
As a child, Fieri’s sister battled with cancer. Sadly, the cancer returned in her adulthood. At the age of 38, she was diagnosed with metastic melanoma and died within a year. Guy Fieri believes that his sister’s death has changed the way he thinks about life.

Guy Fieri has always been passionate about food and began cooking as a child. He even had his own pretzel cart as a teen.
